Citadel is a 29 year old advisory and investment banking firm specializing in real estate.

Arranging equity investments, and project financing and refinancing.
Strategic advice on financing and business plans.
Citadel will analyze a situation and make a determination about the best strategy, and whether or not a restructure, refinance, or if a loan buyout is viable with the lender, what pricing and structure is reasonable. It will then undertake the negotiations on behalf of the client.
Citadel also represents substantial pools of capital and seeks out and negotiates potential distressed acquisitions for the clients depending on their specific criteria.
Very long term relationships with senior executives of many lenders and private equity firms, gives Citadel the ability to have more objective and effective discussions with these managers than the client might have on its own.
Mr. Ross, the principal at Citadel, has closed over $3 billion of various types of financing on all types of real estate.
Mr. Ross was the creator of the first hotel CMBS programs in 1993, and brought financing back to Wall St and the hotel industry, after it virtually disappeared in 1989. He is considered one of the leading experts on this type of financing as well as all other hotel related transactions.
Citadel has been a co-developer in a major brownfield land development consisting of 240 acres in Sacramento, CA. This project is the largest brownfield west of the Mississippi and one of the most complex. Citadel has been a partner in other brownfield land development projects. This experience has given Citadel a deep understanding of land and other types of development, and complex entitlement and public-private development issues.
